Surely, nothing like the '14 price still? Until those return I still consider this an overpriced beast in Canada
Just saw how you saved the dealer in your phone...died laughing. I guess when you are making so many calls better to separate based on greasiness instead of names.
Actually 10k over in Canada. But our MSRP for a 802 is 78k so dealers are raping only after ford really does you in.
This party should come to an end once dealers have satisfied the fiend customers and sanity prevails. Most people on here are not stupid enough to fall for 10k over MSRP. But you...
Was on a waitlist here in Canada as well. But once I was told of a $10k price hike at MSRP and $20-30k hike for a realistic price over the '14 Raptor we had...just cant justify it. I'll have to settle for a ZR2 or a TRD Pro and get my girl a much nicer car. Raptor for me would me a selfish and...
I think there is a huge profit margin in doing this. I heard they had GEN 1s sell for like 150k over there? Basically someone here has to buy one drive it around the lot and it becomes a 'used' vehicle and avoid paying the high taxes on new vehicles imported in to china. So works for everybody...
Has Ford or Mark Levine ever commented on the production numbers? You always hear the GEN 2 is not a limited truck. Not sure where that notion comes from? I guess we might find out sales/production numbers during Q1 sales report or something?
What are you willing to pay? Just pay the transport cost and you can have it transported. I mean they dont usually let you testdrive raptors so who cares what lot its on right? Prob get one near 90k
There is a ruby red someone mentioned on a lot in waterloo.
Go drive a C43 coupe or M2...if you want to talk about driving fun and great value. Hell even a vette might be higher up on my list than the raptor. Of course the truck beats them all in utility but for me it would more of a toy than a dual purpose vehicle. Only thing that would hold me back...
Ya given what we were paying for GEN 1 that price would definitely give me pause. Even if I had the money now we are in high end German sportscar territory...i know its not everyone's cup of tea but i never thought about choosing between those two options. Also the resale value if the $...
I know what you mean man. I think the V8s will probably hold strong in value and might even appreciate some day. Paying 89k for GEN 2 is going to look really stupid when the $ recovers and u try to sell and it fetches 25-30k less. Btw, the resale at that point will still be considered strong but...
I ranted about this in my other thread. Right now, with our weak $ the raptor like all vehicles when converted to USD should be a solid deal. But no American is coming up here to buy the Raptor because it is just as much up here as it is down there. Wait for the $ to recover and the prices will...
NAFTA isnt going anywhere. They will probably just renegotiate terms. Also I have a feeling the terms for Mexico and Canada might be different. If it does get torn up...trade wars will suck for everybody but more so for the isolationist. This experiment has been run 50 years ago. Plus...
Ya sure the 801A upgrade brings the US and CA price more in line. Still doesn't change the fact the base on this Raptor is much higher than it was back in 2014. Almost $9k higher actually. I think the 801A or whatever it was called was standard on that Raptor as well here.
It absolutely sucks right now to be a Canadian if you are in the market for a raptor right now. Until our $ recovers...its a risky proposition IMO
Let me illustrate with base prices from Ford's US/CA sites:
Ford US XL (USD): $26.7k
Ford CA XL (USD): $22k (-$4.7k differential)
Ford US Lariat...
Ford needs real competition in this category and have their hype stolen for prices to be more flexible. C'mon GM or Nissan you are giving Ford an almost monopoly...can't say TRD is quite there yet.
They gave deals near invoice on the previous Gen trucks. The only way to possibly get the same kind of deals is to wait it out until the hype settles. As of now there are enough Canucks with deep enough pockets to pay well above MSRP and buy it at the worst $ conversion rate. If you can pull...
Ford should just put the Raptor on Build and Price. Still make special offers available on it as well.
I was hoping they would do the same for the Raptor
My local Ford dealer (Canada) told me that Ford is very strict with them about charging over MSRP limited availability product or not...
If Ford would just make these available for order from all dealers then it would be a different story. A lot of these **** off dealers would come back wanting my **** and fair price. Why does Ford treat bigger dealers so special? It's the little ones that face more business uncertainty and need...
I think the only way to get Ford to stop these shenanigans is to have competition. They and dealers have too much leverage over buyers wanting a bad ass truck. Tacoma TRD Pro looks promising. Maybe Nissan will build the Titan. Dodge with their overhaul next year will probably do a better job...
