I dont know if this has been suggested but what I do is contract a crew of guys to build scaffolding around my truck and I set up some rope and I just dangle to get the hard to reach parts
My technician believes it's my bcm. I don't recall the code he pulled but it referred to the smart junction box and there is a faint electrical burn smell in the vicinity. All the fuses tested good. There's nothing out of place to the viper modules however I am going to check with my installer...
After further review the wire that appears to be going to a module that could be the viper module is in the plug and not spliced in. There's 7 wires exiting the switch plug.
The wire that pulls off is black and goes to a module pretty wrapped in in there but I'm certain it's a viper component. I'll get a picture of it in a second and upload that.
There is a wire coming off the harness going to the viper system. However I will say again the viper system was installed in August. There also factory trucks from this gen f150 having this problem.
The headlights do remain on even in the off position. They time out after 10min. I have aftermarket installed on uplifters, a viper security system, k&n intake. This happened the other day when it was pouring. Buddy of mine is going to take a look at the bcm and hook it up to a computer as well...
I'm having the same issue. I found a YouTube video with instructions how to bypass with a jumper until I could get a new switch. New switch didn't help. They do shut off after 10min. Everything I've tried and found suggests master wiring harness installed at factory is getting crushed behind the...
So this is why in ga I dont have to be law enforcement to have windows that dark. Some rich kid took it to state court. I believe it is 'love vs state' or something like that. I've got it in my P.I. file
I realize that didnt make much sense after reading it. Basically a judge found that it is...
I was trying not to be a **** about it. I just imagine a little old lady catching that hell and going back in time to when little timmy was hit by a train and she blacking out and waking up parked on top of some girl scouts and cookies ruined and all. Sorry. I did say clean install, just wish it...
I dont. I could check into it but I'm not trying to piss in anyone's cereal. I personally dont like them because of some red neck asshole that would blow it everytime he passed the fire station where his buddies worked across the street from my house any hour of the day and it woke everyone up...
Yeah I hear you. I considered getting a different truck completely. What you're describing is what I've felt and there was a big deal about it around 2014. I guess it could be something different but it sounds identical to me. I was pretty floored about the situation but it does tend to turn...
I believe those are illegal in many states for vehicles and the reason is because of douche bags causing accidents or disturbing the peace honking at their buddy...my personal old man feelings aside it looks like a clean install, hopefully you dont kill anyone with it.
I have 180k on my 2010 6.2 and besides needing shocks rebuilt (have a set waiting but cant find shop with sufficient torque wrench) all I feel I need to do is replace the plugs and maybe the wires. Not sure how the coils would need replacing as I've mostly heard those are a work/no work piece of...
This was referred to as "the clunk" in first gen and was experienced in f150's with the same transmission. The conversation went all over the place and nothing was ever actually done about it. My warranty replaced transmission control module, ujoint, and reflashed. I've even heard of axle...
Yeah pretty sure I'm going gorilla however still curious why OEM lugs are so much wider than OE spec aftermarket. Can anyone shed light if this is a legitimate safety concern?
So the OEM lugs are steel with a chrome shell and after so many rotations these lugs will warp. Which aftermarket should I look at? The gorillas look best in the market however the bevel circumference is so much slimmer. This feels like something I should be concerned with.
