Damm the color Gray should be much darker.

This truck just looks too fragile, I know it's not. Sometimes kids are less attractive than their parents. Gen 1 is a better looking truck than gen 2. Sad but true.

I agree -- I've never understood such a pretty generic color offering.

Darker like this RS would be nice ......since I think Magnetic is almost black

Just like with kids, parents may think their kids are more attractive than they really are. I have always been a jeep/ford guy but even though I liked the look of the GEN1 's I stuck with my wranglers. Now that the GEN 2's are coming I'll be getting rid of my Rubicon for one.

Everyone is doing the battleship grey like on the RS. I think it's one of those colors that five years from now will look dated. I prefer the lighter 'putty' color on the new Raptor, personally - it's unique and more desert-like somehow. I'd want to see it in person, however - the photos from the Chicago show make it look nice, but some of the others I've seen make it seem like it has a blue tint to it. I'd prefer it if it were more of a beige-grey than a blue-grey.

I ALWAYS buy white vehicles .... With that said, the Avalanche Gray color is what sold me on the Gen 2 Raptor. Great pics OP! Can wait to order one.

I think the Avalanche grey needs to be a tad be darker, it seems too subtle especially after Chris said it looks more like an off white than a grey. The grey on the RS is fantastic, the cement on the TRD PRO is fantastic, even the terrain Gen 1 was a fantastic color because it stood out. Make it pop so it stands out.

I had a special one, Ingot Silver that was color changing to Terrain.

I too was looking forward to a grey closer to that RS paint.

As much as i didn't want another black truck, after seeing it, looks tough... You know what they say

After seeing the gen 2 at the Chicago auto show, I have come up with some thoughts....

1. The skid plates are defenitly better than the outgoing truck. They cover more of the undercarriage. I also noticed that ford seemed to do a better job with tucking all of the components under the frame. The T-case, gas tank, exhaust crossover pipe, and cross members all are tucked up into the frame whereas some of those things kind of hung down on the gen 1

2. Front valance. Look at the front of the truck, in order to follow the lines of the bumper, the valance is curved up. I think his may be a problem for guys wanting to run a slim radius cut bumper like the SVC smurf bumper or a race works bumper. I'm intrested to see how the aftermarket does when it comes to front bumpers.

3. The marker lights in the gray fender flare isn't a good look. Plus, guys who run glass will have one more challenge when installing.

4. As much of a hater I am to the plastic FORD on the tailgate, I was surprised on the quality of plastic they used.

5. I really like the rear bumper. Remove the exhaust tips in favor for a turndown or lightning style and It essentially turns it into a mini dovetail.
