They are also newer model years too. As with the C8 and gen 3 they started 2-3 model years before the Z06 and Rs started being available. If both performance models had those extra years of production, there would be more out there and the prices would be softer still. Both Chevy and Ford came out with their performance models at the perfect time. Just as the hype of the "regular" ones was just starting to fade a little...BOOM. They also did well to introduce them mid generation, you wouldn't want the hype of the next generation C9 or gen 4 to interfere with the top tier model in this generation especially since the next generation (especially with corvettes) outshines most all the other models of the pervious gen. Chevy is still probably going to make a super epic C8 at the very end, but that one is for collectors like the C7 ZR1 has ended up being.

95% of Vehicles depreciate. Some vehicles might hold their value better than others but they depreciate. I think the R will hold its value better than other vehicles like the gen 1 did but it won’t sell above sticker forever. I think after a few years they will hover around 95-105 for low miles and 90 and under for higher mileage ones. At the end of the day it’s still just an F150.
I do seriously agree with this but will add one thing to it. It’s true the Raptor is just an F150 with fancy, expensive package on it.

But saying the RR is “just an F150” is akin to saying the Buick GNX was just a Regal, the GT500 is Just a Mustang, the Demon is just a Challenger, Pappy Van Winkle 23 is just bourbon etc. It’s true in the absolute sense but for the simple rarity of numbers and conglomeration of assembled parts covered by a factory warranty or bourbon tastefully aged until peak flavor profile...

There will be a limited subset of RR that will appreciate. Leno’s RR and similar trucks with a famous or infamous pedigree and the ones snagged by collectors and put into storage. They will start surfacing after production ceases with absurdly low mileage.

I was pretty surprised when it came through as RNM at that price. We still have not worked out a deal and I don't know if we are going to get there. I am not desperate and can wait. I did get a little excited with bidding and didn't stick to the price i wanted to, rather fun. :)

i’m assuming the reason is people in florida don’t know how to use autotrader or computers maybe?
Huntley is crap dealer. They will not do a deal over the phone or over the computer. Must be in person. Go read the HORRIBLE reviews on them. They are terrible at bait and switch and massive fees.

Most of the Rs seen for sale are at dealers and most (notice I didn't say all) of the dealers have quite a bit of garbage fees on top of the advertised prices. I find it hard to gauge the market right now just looking at asking prices on autotrader.

I am going to continue my search. I will buy one eventually.

Yeah its nearly impossible to go off autotrader. Their goal is to get you in the door with what looks like an MSRP deal. No telling what add ons, fees, or ADMs you'll be subjected to. So when people say, there are MSRP deals everywhere, I really hope they aren't just going off autotrader or the dealer website.

I have no experience with the prices as of late. I do know I made many many calls and inquiries before I finally gave in to an ADM deal. It was crazy how 99.9% were a waste of time. I am impressed that some have the tenacity to wade through all the "crap" out there and find a deal. I gave up and "caved" to an ADM.

Even with that said I have to admit I am not sorry I did give in. Truck is a lot of fun.

Exactly. Anyone who’s spent time actually calling around trying to put these deals together knows there certainly aren’t msrp deals everywhere. Not at all.

When I started the process with my peasant 35 at the end of 2022. Called up all the Houston area dealers who said they had them (they didn't) they said they were MSRP on their inventory website and autotrader (they weren't). Even calling them you didn't always get a straight story on what your final price would be. You'd have to go into the dealer and actually sit down to see what you were really dealing with. That was a while ago now, and Im sure MSRP is a lot more common now than it was, but nothing induces an eye roll more than "there are MSRP deals all over the country on 24s and Rs". I doubt people for fun are going on all their Saturday afternoons and physically going through the buying process to get a final number just to say no, Im collecting info to spread on a forum. Also MSRP doesn't always mean MSRP, when you get deep into the phases of negotiation and notice the 3-5K in dealer add-ons and other "fees" that isn't MSRP.

I have had this conversation with friends who just rail the dealers for ADMs. I ask them if they were able to sell their highly sought after vehicle for a premium price would they? Take an R Raptor or even a Porsche GT3RS. If they bought it for MSRP would they sell it for MSRP when the market value is much higher. Yea, I'm going to sell my GT3RS for $290K when they are going for $100K over that. I doubt many would do that. Yes the "flippers" have caused a lot of this, but it is what it is. People can say what they want about price guarantees but at the end of the day the market dictates much of the pricing today. Good grief look at the housing market!!!!
I highly applaud dealers that sell at MSRP on the desirable vehicles. But I don't condemn them when they try and get an ADM. It's called a free market for a reason, and it aint free. :lol:

I do abhor the marketing strategies though. Just put the price there that you want and quit the BS. It would save a lot of drama.
