I have a rule I try to stick to: Never buy anything used that they still make new. I fool with old motorcycles, old guns and old vehicles so I can't stick with that all the time but in this case I would wait. I placed an order on 10/30 and have the VIN but I don't expect delivery until February at the earliest. Wait on the new one, it will be worth it.

I am a huge fan of the extra features in the used truck, especially if I can pick it up close to what I am paying for the truck on order. And with only 6k miles I feel like I should go for it, but I have to agree with you guys, the 2-owner deal seems weird. I wonder if the dealership somehow registered it as an owner due to maybe the owner or someone who worked there was driving the truck..

I think I will listen to you guys and hold off for mine. The wait is just eating up every bit of my time (YouTube, putting my aftermarket list together, researching on this forum, etc), but at least I will be well educated when the truck shows up (hopefully before April!)

Thanks again guys!

Definitely wait, or even wait a bit longer. The 2017 model has awful problems from the ramp 59 fiasco, so if you have to have ecoboost, go 2018. Or, just wait for the next version at this point.

How long should he wait Sasquatch?

You have been promising that new engine for a while now.

The first buyer could be something as simple as a guy getting an early allocation and flipping it for a profit. Or maybe it didn't fit in his garage. Or he ran into financial problems between ordering and taking delivery. The only thing that would scare me is if the truck spent a lot of time in the shop. A Ford dealership would be able to tell you if it required a lot of warranty work and the previous owners dumped it for being a lemon.

It doesn’t look like the “first owner” should even be an owner. Looks like the dealership had it for 600 miles and sold it to its first owner...

Zhammy - Does your oxford have orange accent interior? That is one of my must-haves and it’s why I got excited when I found this used one..

I have found a few AGs for good prices with the orange accent interior and I love the color, but have a buddy with one....
