I feel like when I check this thread in 2025, it will be 750 pages long and it will only be settled when we all agree to tow nothing more than a single bag of marshmallows in the bed with a 97lb jockey in the driver’s seat.

I tow a 10k boat short distances every weekend. It’s on a triple axle, so the tongue weight is not terrible. In tow mode it does great. Yes it sags, but not nearly as bad as my 2019 raptor. I wouldn’t put that setup on the interstate, but a few miles back and forth is fine.

I drag a 2022 Malibu 25lsv behind my Gen 3. Tows way way better than my Gen2 did. The towing setting really helps. My boat is like 10k on the trailer, so I don’t go too far, but for a 5k boat I think you’ll be just fine. You can’t use a wdh with a typical boat trailer with surge brakes.

I lost some settings when I performed the power cycle. Worth it though. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app does nothing if your truck is not connecting to Wi-Fi. I tried everything and the power cycle / battery terminal disconnnect was the only thing they worked.

My truck lost connectivity. Unhooking the tcu for 4 hours did nothing. Unhooking the negative battery terminal for an hour fixed the issue.

Well I towed my 2022 Malibu 25lsv with my 2019 Raptor. The boat is on a triple and it did sag the rear, but if you go slow and don’t got far it’s tolerable. I just picked up a 2023 Raptor Saturday so I’ll report back on whether it’s any better when the temp hits 70 on a weekend!
