I think your post was accurate. For me, I cringed every time I started it up and since it’s under warranty I felt there was little risk to getting it done. I haven’t had mine back long but I’ve smiled every time I’ve started it up since.

It’s a little hard to tell from the pic but do they just have a brushed aluminum type finish once stripped down?

I had mine in to look at something else and they told me about this so I had them go ahead and do it. He said they have to cut the wiring near the tailgate and replace it.

Your first video is definitely phasers. Sounded just like mine which was also a CPO “in perfect condition.” I’ll let someone else chime in on the 2nd video as mine didn’t sound like that.

so is there a difference between gear lockout and manual shifting?

Mine was built in July of 18. Dropping it off tomorrow to have them replaced and hopefully all will go well. it’s also recently started some kind of little rattle when giving it throttle. Sounds like the wastegates or a heat shield loose or something.
