Well sparky they put the redline on the tach for a reason. Like one responder indicated the 3.5 ** truck motor is pretty tapped out from the factory. The only way to get more out of it is to build to GT specs - different cams, heads, intake, tune, etc. I think even the block may be different on...
Well I know dealers are not proactive about applying TSBs unless you point them out and demand it. My guess is all the excess pressure the turbos put on the crankcase ventilation system probably causes them to leak. I am already over it as it's going down the road and I am on to my next truck...
I would take that deal in a heartbeat. I am so done with my Gen II. I haven't had any problems with it but... the 3.5 is a poor motor in my book. I just can't figure why they didn't Coyote power theses rigs.
Here's my compliant. When changing the oil at the service interval, only 5 qts comes...
Cam Phasers are on the ends of the overhead cams on the 3.5 ecoboost motor. They provide variable valve timing by altering the cam phasing during different engine loads. They are hydraulically actuated by the engine oil so using the correct spec oil is fairly important. Ford's supplier of these...
I've had black , tan, & white rigs. I just run them thru the carwash. They come out mostly clean, or spend 4 hours n do a detail job. Bottom line I don't get crazy making it look like some street queen. Out here we have this look it's called AZ pinstriping. Bring your rig out n do several runs...
I wouldn't recommend Rhino. Had a very bad experience. I had my bed sprayed in the Avalanche color (twice the cost of black) since my truck would spend a lot of time in AZ and I didn't want a black liner. This was done October in SC where I purchased the vehicle. After six weeks in the sun...
During the Gen 1 days the course was offered for $1250. IN 2013 I met the director of the Ford Performance school at SEMA. They offered the Raptor and Mustang GT courses for 1250 each or a combo for like 2100. You had to own one of the vehicles to qualify. Not sure if they still offer the buy in...
