    Weight Bias Front/Rear

Even if axle weight distribution is 3000 lbs each front and rear, you are cutting the max capacity of 6000 lbs pretty close. Make sure that Fords definition of curb weight includes all fluids and factor in any other cargo or modifications that might add weight. Consider going to a truck stop...

    ko2 and snow

Just had 18 inches in Colorado to drive my Raptor through. I find the combination of the KO2's and chassis and stability control tuning to make it safe and predictable in the snow. If your wife is a reasonably competent driver, the bigger worry is the other guy.

    Best Color For 2020

I have a 19 in Ingot Silver which was not that popular. 2020 doesn't offer a similar shade of silver. I would go Velocity Blue or Leadfoot depending on whether I wanted my Raptor to stand out or not. I wish Kona Blue was available or a medium dark metallic green.

    Low tire pressure warning bugged?

This is my theory as well based on other vehicles low pressure monitoring systems I have observed. I have no proof of it though.

First drive in snow handling report vs Chevy-Jeep-Porsche

Great information to have guys. Obviously different driving conditions and styles will come in to play in deciding what mode to be in. Thanks to everybody who replied.

First drive in snow handling report vs Chevy-Jeep-Porsche

Got about a foot of snow in Estes Park, Co. Took my 19 out for the first time in significant snow. I still have a lot to learn about my Raptor so others here may want to correct or expand on my comments. I have three other vehicles to compare against the Raptor in the snow. (Drifting was...

Do you put weight in bed for snow or not needed

I haven't driven my 19 Raptor in snow yet but I did put a topper on it which probably adds a few hundred pounds. I'm in Colorado at 7800 feet so I am expecting a test drive in the snow soon. My 14 Silverado and my Raptor both benefited from the topper weight, smoothing out the ride.

    How much power is enough?

Of course torque is real important too. But on the street with a pickup I would like about 1 horsepower to each 8 pounds of weight. 5700 curb weight divided by 8 = about 700 horsepower. Is it a coincidence that this power to weight ratio is what the new supercharged V8 Ford next gen Raptor...

Gladiator worth the trade in ?

I own a 2015 Jeep Rubicon Wrangler and a 2019 Raptor. Recently drove a 2019 Wrangler Rubicon to see how much improvement there is. Performance wise it rode noticeably better (my 15 rides lousy though), the seats were much improved as was the 8 speed auto transmission compared to my 5 speed. I...

This would be like cheating on your supermodel girlfriend with a cashier at Walmart.

    2019 Raptor MPG survey

UPDATE: With the last 1400 miles (700 miles from CO to IA each way) being Interstate at 75-83mph I got 14.7 mpg. Over the life of the truck now showing only 15.9 mpg avg over 3500 miles. Typically the west wind and increase in elevation cost me 2 mpg or so on the way back to CO. Also used 87...

    '17 SCAB to '19 SCREW?

How much extra when new was the SCREW cab over the SCAB on the 17 you own? Take that number and add the cost of a low mileage two year extended warranty to your truck so it equals a new 19 in coverage. Then subtract this number from a well negotiated out the door trade in on a new 2019. This...

    Rodents chewing through wiring harness?

Not an uncommon problem for me happening to my wife's BMW, my 04 and 14 Chevrolet Silverado's and most memorably to my 2005 Ford GT. If in garage, keep traps set and allow no garbage or food to attract them. Outdoors in winter the warm engine heat draws them. Not sure what to do here unless...

GEN 2 What else is in your garage?

2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder - a top down toy. Only 850 made between 2011-2012 MY's combined. Still worth about what I paid new for it. 2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo - My wife loves this car. Powerful, handles great even in snow, comfortable and luxurious. She feels safe in it. 2015 Jeep...
