Do they make noise with all the interlinking metal parts, either in closed or rolled up position? On-road or off? I can't stand rattles and will just go with a soft cover if that's an issue. Gen2s are too dang quiet. No noise for me, it latches pretty solid. Can the tailgate be opened/closed...

Definitely food for thought! I'll start with the Winch and the cradle and scale up from there. I've already been stuck in 4' of water without a buddy or winch. Anything would have helped at that point. To Ford's credit, the truck idled just fine with 6" of water in it, and is still running to...

Zombie, thanks for he detailed response. For some reason I locked into the Swarf/Warn setup, but started looking at the cons once I got closer to purchasing! I have seen the hitch cradles and will go with the X20 10K/12K Wireless with a good rear power kit, and the Cobb IC kit.

How do you attach a cradle to the front end of the truck? A 10K-12K Warn Winch front mounted is a significant investment (Winch + Mount + IC + Tune = $4500-$5000)...my budget is around $3k and even that is high. I do not off road that much...
