built by Roush, I was under the impression they not only had to be Roush certified, but had to of sold so many of every other color to even be allotted 1.

I can tell you from driving one they GET WITH IT! and even more so with a tune from Mike @ 5Star. and it is a must to get rid of the 100mph governor,

So does anyone know the process yet? My local dealer is Roush certified and all they knew about was how to sell me the SC itself. I would assume you have your Raptor ordered normally but have it sent to Roush and then they do delivery to your dealer? I would jump on this in a heartbeat but I have yet to find a Roush Raptor that isn't a SCREW. Hmphh...

I hate to attempt to answer since I have not actually gone through it, but from the conversation I had with the dealer - you go in, config it the way you want - they order it from Ford.
Ford sends the Raptor to Roush and Roush builds it and then sends it back to Ford...then normal delivery happens.

Call the guys at Roush, when I did, it sounded like Roush actually buys the vehicle from Ford, makes the modfiications as a manufacture (no title impact) and then sells the vehicle to the dealer that wants to buy it. Or atleast that's how I understood the conversation. But I'm assuming Roush waits for a dealer to provide a purchase order (deposit) before they make the purchase from Ford and starts the process/mod. I was also told, that you can buy a Roush Raptor (kit) in a box for about $7,500 which includes the S/C, Exhaust, Decals, embroidered head rests and boost gauge. The only gotcha was that the 525hp version would have a warranty, but not the 590hp version. Only way to get the 590hp version warranty is buying it through a dealership.

from the Roush tour just before Snoball, they can do your personal Raptor or get one from Ford, Roush it and then send it to your dealer. They will not sell a Roush Raptor to a dealer for stock, it MUST be pre sold! A dealer may purchase it themselves, but there has to be a title done and ready to go.

and from what i gathered, your order goes into Roush, they get with Ford and get your truck, Roush it and it goes out to your dealer to be picked up.

edit: oh yeah Randy (vendor to the right) has sold a couple Roush Raptors already, i dont know what his allotment is like right now, but not a better guy to deal with!
