The back bolt that holds the hood down. You must remove it to install the mount. Doing it my way while the hood is down keeps the hood in the same position.



The back bolt for the hood mount is accessible from the outside when you are doing the install.


Doesn't this method only work when you cut the cowl? It looks like you can't access the back bolt from atop the hood. 2 universals or am I missing something?

So because I've never seen a hood mount up close, how does the hood remain flush with the fenders and keep proper alignment if the brackets mount under the the hinges? I would expect they raise the hinge set up but see that it looks flush?
