Fog light wiring question

I am hung between 2 different sets of fog lights, either way I go I will have to make a wiring harness for the fog lights. Not being a wiring guru, what will I need other than the sockets that the bulbs connect to? Anyone have a PDF type diagram? Also when I do install my fogs I want to connect them to the parking lights, is all I have to do is splice them into the POS and NEG wires? Thanks

Why not use your upfitter switches, thats what they are there for?

Kind of like the idea of them just coming on with the PL, that way I don't forget to cut them on and off, which I know I will do. I'm good like that..

You can get the oem light switch with fogs built in.

I currently have mine wired to upfitter 4 and it stays on all of the time. When you turn off the truck, the upfitters go off as well. Mine are used as DRL's, so the switch is on all the time.

Yep...upfitter switches only receive power when the vehicle is running. Cut off the truck and the lights cut off as well.
