Did you get the Pro Aluminum one? I like the looks of that top and it looks like it is built well. My truck is supposed to built tuesday in Dearborn. Any idea how long it takes to get them to the Chicago area after they are built?

The Pro is the one I will be getting. They are extremely well built. They claim that they can hold a person on it. Now I'm not going to put my 250 lb 6'3" body on top of that thing but it's nice to know it can handle weight. Especially when we get wet heavy snow up here.

You wouldn't be disappointed!

That is a nice cover, a little pricey but I like the roll up feature.

Question for you guys, first thing that comes to mind when I think of a aluminum rolling cover is that its going to rattle every time I hit a bump. I've never actually seen one so I may be wrong but does it make any noise ?

That is the downside to the Retrax. You will hear it if you hit bumps because there is enough give to allow the cover to roll up on itself. Unlike the BakFlip where it is 4 solid pieces. (Keep in mind, I only can talk about the Retrax as I've never owned any other.)

It looks like it has rubber in between which should minimize any rattle I would think. The main problem I see is walking up to it on a 100 degree day and getting fried by the aluminum.

I had a manual roll up made by Pace-Edwards on my last truck. I loved it, and it didnt make a single noise, and held my weight pushing 300 lbs. Now they have an electric one that can be locked at any spot. I needed an excuse to hook SOMETHIING up to one of those cool little switches, so thats what I ordered.
