6.2 slight engine knock and rough idle.

Hey everyone I’m new here. I have a 2013 raptor. About a month ago I was driving and it started sounding like my f250 lol. Right after that I stopped at a red light and it shut off and said “low oil pressure” so I drove very slow home. Next day started it up and sounds like a slight knock. Now after it’s warmed up it starts a rough idle and has a knocking sound also says low oil pressure and cuts off. She has a bunch of codes. I’m not sure what to do. Any help or ideas will be appreciated. I called ford to get pricing on a new motor. It have almost 300,000 on it so I’m sure it’s the motor Hopefully it’s not but. Thanks guys.

Hate to hear it but you probably got all the good out of that one. Good luck on the replacement. There out there just got to be diligent. I would rebuild what you got but that is me. Lol The kits are a little hard to come by.

Have you checked the oil level? With the low oil pressure light being on and an engine knock noise, it sounds like there is probably internal damage.

Yes. I did an oil change today. Before hand oil level was fine.

You wont find a new motor...been there. It sucks trying to find one. Took about 6 months. It does sound internal like @FordTechOne said.

Ford said they are on back order with no eta lmao.

Yep, no eta at all, ever. Mine came out of a wrecked 14. I just got lucky with that find.

I got family up there. Around royston, heartwell area.

Is it not feasible that there’s a timing issue? Just based off the timing codes. Also saw the ecu codes and sensor codes. Never seen those codes for an engine failure. Is it possible that the ECU failed?
