Would it not be more cost effective and cheaper for the consumer if Ford was to offer the Whipple as a factory option
To put cheesy stickers on this truck calling it a Roush Offroad seems wrong.:whymewhyme:

I can't imagine a factory supercharger kit would be much cheaper, its actually not a bad price for a full Roush supercharger kit though.

My question is....

$6000+ for such a slight improvement in performance?

"0-60 mph times from 6.6 seconds on the stock Raptor down to 5.7 seconds with the ROUSH TVS supercharger. 1/4 mile performance times also improved from 15.2 seconds at 92 mph on the stock Raptor to 13.9 seconds at 97 mph."

0-60 mph .9 seconds improvement
1/4 mile 1.3 seconds and 5 mph improvement

Maybe it is just me, I rather spend $6000+ on suspension upgrades, and have more useable power off road..

The Roush upgrade is $10,000.00 in the U.S. and $20,000.00 in Canada. I would rather buy the regular Raptor and, with the $20,000.00 make it a Real Off Road, rather then a Roush Off Road.

I definitely agree with you there. I will be going RPG stage 4 before I go supercharged.

I bought mine because I really do not have the time or the proper knowledge
to install. As for the warranty it is the same as the truck 3yrs/50,000. The CAI, exhaust, graphics by roush, head rest stitching, bed liner, boost gauge,
all came with the truck. It is very quick for a truck that weighs this much. I would say if you could install by yourself it would be cheaper problably. As for the cost they are all in the mid 60's that I have seen.

I bought this truck because I like the way the Raptor looks and the off roading I do is extremly light.

In all honesty I think this Roush Raptor coupled with RPG Stage 4+ would be the best of both worlds, I have several more mods to make my suspension, bumpers and a few other things better but ultimately I will have the Roush Supercharger on mine

^^ I will probably end up with one as well, its just a matter of priorities, There are a couple aesthetic things I will do, then suspension, then engine.

The sticker add on package price from Roush is $13,000 and includes the 3/36 warranty.

For $10,000 you can buy the Whipple kit and Deaver springs and a kick ass SDHQ front bumper with lights and make a little more power.

When you look at the dyno graphs the torque is insane. 450 ft/lbs at 2,500 rpm and its just a flat line holding 450-500 ft/lbs to the red-line. Thats a 100% increase in torque down low and 50% increase up top.
