Keep telling yourself that. I guess you won’t have to come here to explain your leaky oil pan, various engine rattles, and 10spd problems. Have fun

Bill to fix the whine in my 2018 transmission was a little over $6,000. New pump and new pump gears plus the labor.

I plan to get an extended warranty also now that I decided to stick with the truck.

Mathematically, 3.5 Ecoboost is superior in every way to the 5.4/6.2, including reliability. Do the math. Some of the rest of us already have.

You do realize the 3.5 Ecoboost goes in other f150s besides the raptor, right? You can have a false sense of security, but there are definitely engine issues out there.

You have a false sense of importance, *********

17s and 18s show same problems. I don’t believe that Ford knows how to fix these things. Looking back at the cold start rattle, they released a plethora of TSBs that never fixed the root cause. I feel like now they finally conceded that it is improper oiling of the phasers... this is shown in the most updated tunes that Ford dealers are flashing on 3.5 ecos.

Amazing that you can deduce this from 7th grade home economics. No drivers license, no car, and you don't even know any tunes.

You're not just a delinquent, you're delusional.

Seems the only problems these fine folks have is you trolling because you're too lazy to do your homework, and think you're too cool and skip school so much you've flunked 7th grade.

Don't waste your breath. The only math MGD is capable of is counting how many times the ***** has been shoved into his ass. He's a total delinquent and complete disappointment.

I'm ashamed this pathetic loser once used the sasquatch user name. He's a total disgrace to the sasquatch legacy.

Dear MGD,

I know it must be frustrating to be proven wrong again and again and again. And I know you were hoping there would be some competition to the Raptor so that maybe the price would come down so that you can afford one.

Unfortunately, right now, the Raptor is so far above any other truck on the road both in terms of reliability and performance, that it really has no competition.

But good news for you! There will be competition coming. I hear that the 2023 Raptor gen 3 will give this truck a serious run for its money.

I made an educated decision not to buy the gen 2 Raptor specifically because of the ecoboost 6 and 10spd. I enjoy my gen 1 SVT Raptor and have no issues with it. The only thing I have to worry about is rebuilding the shocks soon.

I am looking at extended warranties, and would like to hear what high cost stuff has failed? Computers, screens? Have you had any go bad?

Or do I just get it to cover the transmission and engine for 6 years?

OK this thread has been derailed and hijacked by a couple most wanted terrorist on FRF. lol
Getting back on track, GEN1 or GEN2 if you are planning to keep the truck beyond the factory warranty just buy an extended warranty. There is no nickel and dime stuff here. They are expensive trucks and like any machines they do break down. One claim can cover the cost of the warranty.... If you like playing Russian roulette don't get it, just simple.
My truck is covered BTB up to 102k miles, $100 deductible. Already used it once for telescopic steering motor. Under $800 claim...my in house cost on the 4/48k mile warranty was $1600, i am a dealer. You do the math....

^^^^^^^ AGREED! I would go farther and say ANY high end vehicle today. Just bought my wife a Yukon Denali this past weekend. With all the computers, screens and crap. No Brainer, buy it.
