Right, and in some cases, not even that early, from reports of others on FRF. Jredd was talking big though, so I threw my VIN out there for him/her to pull it up. Of course, they (I use "they"'pronoun because I was PM'ed back and they used the pronoun "our" when describing their "locator system") Jredd was not able to pull up my window sticker, as it hasn't been released yet.
The explanation he/she gave was that only the dealer could pull it up because it was locked by them so other dealers wouldn't know it's available, that's a new one
. As I told Jredd, they have absolutely nothing to gain by that, as it would be infinitely more constructive for them to pull up the sticker to at least show me there is some tangible progress on this glacially slow process. They're not pulling it up because they can't; they don't have access to it either.
I'm not trying to start a war here, but I must be blunt, as I literally have a pain in my stomach when I read Jredd's PM to me; I never asked for a private message, why not make it all public on the forum thread for all to see? Afterall, that is why we congregate together, to receive help and offer encouragement. The PM I received from Jredd reads like a phishing scam--just gives me cause for concern in the parlance and structure. Not sure what's going on here....I'm sure he/she is a nice enough person, but I wouldn't give out too much personal information LOL!
