quick update: I am 4wd now! I got to pre-run half the course for prerunners at texplex last week. The truck worked REALLY well. I have some shock tuning still left to do to get it perfect, but we got rained out the day of the fun run, so it'll have to wait till next time. I either forgot to zip tie the abs sensor to the brake line or the zip tie let loose, so the sensor wire had a fight with the brake rotor and lost. Waiting for a replacement to show up and ordered an extra because i know itll happen again. I added my sdhq extended shackles back onto the truck. I now need rear brake lines that are about 5" longer (being made). I am dropping my truck off to be wrapped on the 17th. ( woo hoo!) I ordered SVC track bars for the rear. ( going to stay spring over because I don't feel that I need to go sprung under based on how the truck drives and handles.) I also ordered the following to finish out the bed and be a little safer: schroth ralleye 4 harnesses additional swag off road action packer mounts. some mac's tie down tracks. a 30 qt cooler ( my 45 qt is a little too big) beefier CV boots for the front I also plan to modify the SVC bypass rack a little bit to mount my proeagle jack standing up instead of laying down. ( it will create a little extra room in the bed.) I am on the fence as to whether I'm going to swap my rear RPG bumper out for an SVC rear. I REALLY dont want to give up the backup sensors. For the most part, the donkey should be finished before the end of the year ( for this stage). In the spring I'll have currie widen the rear axle. At the same time I'll most likely upgrade to alcon brakes. Looking forward to having the truck complete!
