Yeah I said watertight based on my experience w/ 2 GM trucks an 07 & a '15 - but obviously every truck will have the thing sit a little differently - that being said, don't be afraid to crank the rear clamps down pretty damn good, especially on a hot day - it may make a difference in waterproofing, I recall doing that on mine & while the plastic pieces can get "frozen" or stuck in place to the threaded nut after being torqued down so tightly for a period of time w/ moisture/temp fluctuations if you wind up not completely removing it for months at a time. I found lightly tapping on those clamps w/ a small rubber mallet was all that was needed to free em up completely. I really wish I had the same one on my Raptor, but the dealer didn't have them on hand & I was pretty stoked about getting the truck & had a tonneau cover worked into the deal so wound up w/ a vinyl roll-up style Truxedo brand. Security should definitely be somewhat of a concern when it comes to a tonneau cover - as should water-tightness, if not why even bother getting one? Just have a locking toolbox & a tarp w/ tie downs loL!! You can get into any vehicle w/ ease obviously - just need a coat hanger or jimmy stick..better yet, a rock! So anything that's going to slow down a thief or overly curious individual in terms of gaining access to your bed/contents the better. Had a 2014 GMC truck w/ long bed that was totaled, I wanted to remove that tonneau & sell it b/c I couldn't use it on the 2015 I replaced it w/ since it had a shortbed, I went to the tow yard that had my totaled '14 to get the cover off & since the truck had a flat in front & possibly frame damage & sitting on very uneven ground I couldn't get the tailgate open. Well.....neither I nor the tow yard worker had the cujones to pry on the tonneau hard enough to break the any of the 4 locking clamps holding it down as the pressure seemingly required to do that made it feel like the bar or part of the cover was going to fly back @ you & cause some damage lol - so, I scrapped the idea of removing it to resell & used a rotary tool to cut through the vinyl/composite panel to just get access to the rest of the contents I wanted including a toolbox I did wind up re-using. I think that says something about the "security" of a tonneau cover or lack thereof depending on how you look at it.....
