SVC is proud to announce the release of our new high performance tune specifically designed for the die hard Raptor owner. Below will give you a good background and understanding of why we choose to come up with our own tune, instead of just reselling whats already on the market. With just a "tune" it is impossible to truly gain the power numbers claimed by most aftermarket companies. Most aftermarket “tuners” turn off switches such as catalyst, oxygen sensor and cylinder head temperature protection, which will prevent the PCM from richening the Air/Fuel ratio to protect these components, which can result in more power under certain conditions. Unfortunately, your truck lives and drives in the real world, Temperatures rise quickly when pounding your Raptor in the dirt. Tires spin freely, rpm's raise quickly and reliability is a must. When certain safe guard systems are turned off, you run the risk of shortening the durability of these components, which can result in the “check engine light” coming on, as well as a shortened life span of the catalytic converters with a possibility of catastrophic engine failure. Aftermarket “tuners” often advance spark timing to potentially unsafe levels, which will cause damaging spark knock or pre-ignition, which once again can potentially cause massive engine failure. With the SVC Performance Tune, this will NOT happen. Understanding the (MAF) The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is the most critical parameter to have correct when calibrating newer PCM’s. The MAF sensor is the first point where air enters the engine and every calculation the PCM commands will depend on that input being an actual and real measurement (load, idle, part throttle, WOT, air/fuel ratio, timing, torque calculations, automatic transmission shift points etc. all depend on it), and if you don't get the MAF correct, your really not getting the most out of your tune. Why you should choose The SVC Performance Tune? Most “tuners” were taught to adjust the Air/Fuel ratio by moving the MAF transfer curve in the “tune”, this will change the A/F ratio, however it proves many tuners may not fully understand how a mass air system works. Everyone of the SVC Performance Tunes MAF transfer functions are flown at a professional flow bench, which is the same procedure taken by OEM manufacturers. This ensures no matter what the altitude or weather is, the vehicle will produce the same air/fuel ratio as commanded in the PCM, just like the factory intended. When timing can be increased, the PCM will tell it so. When it needs to be pulled back because of bad gas or excessive intake temps, the PCM will tell it so. The SVC Performance Tune automatic transmission calibration improves slip times, quicker downshifts and shift schedules to give the transmission a more performance-oriented feel, yet still ensures the durability of the transmission over the long term abuse your Raptor will see mile-after-dirty-mile.
