Hi All — hoping someone can help me here. I test drove a MY’19 SCAB with ~35 miles yesterday at a dealership. I went in really wanting to buy this truck (currently have a MY’18 Jeep JLU Rubicon) but when I did a test drive, the ride was super rough. At slow speeds and smooth roads, the transmission would “stutter” almost like the wheels were fighting for traction under heavy load (except that feel was from the transmission). I got in with the sales manager and he agreed something felt off and we jumped into another SCREW — however I still felt the issue (albeit at a smaller scale). After doing some research, I’m seeing that this new 10-speed can be tough for the first 2-5k miles and smooth out. Also, if there are multiple people doing test drives, the transmission could be “confused” as I am sure the test drives are not slow & steady. I pushed the dealership on it and they did not have an answer other than to say they would work with me on a new factory order which did not make me feel super warm or fuzzy either. Last point, I test drove a used MY’17 with ~40k miles about a month ago and did not feel this issue. Any ideas/thoughts? Thanks!
