Had to pull one of my beauty rings off a couple of days ago for a tire repair. Heads up - most tire shops will refuse to work on the wheel unless you remove this yourself first! Anyways with the bare aluminum beneath exposed I realized how good a polished ring (similar to the real beadlock rings) would look to break up the color scheme - particularly on a all black truck. Curious if anyone has had their rings stripped down or found an alternative solution.

You need to find a new shop. Since there is no way to balance the wheel without the ring. There is too much slop in the ring to balance after or maintain balance

I have been looking into this as well! I am thinking about using aircraft stripper on the rings, but was looking for input before I did it.

I had mine done a color similar to the skid plate, which isn't too far off from the bare look. I asked the shop powder coating it about just stripping it and clearing over and he said it would more or less end up looking similar.

Will post a pic later.

This looks awesome! Same truck as me too! What color is are the rings? I may just go that route instead.
I don't even remember, I think P6, P7 or P8...I know they had several options for colors, but a few were paint with a clear powder and the one we went with was powder with a clear powder.
