So check this one out. I had my choice of two identical Raptors - Both Agate Black 800A base models. One had 42 miles and one had 9. I picked the one with lower mileage, because like you, I am **** about that kind of thing. Long story short, my brand new Raptor broke down on the way home. A coolant hose broke and lost all its coolant. Talk about the worst buzz kill ever. Dealer was super cool about it and let me change the paperwork to get the other truck instead. The moral to the story here, any assembly issues probably happen in the first 50 miles or so. You are better off getting one with a few miles because it is tested. Who cares if someone redlined the car on a test drive? A lot of tuners say you're actually better off breaking in a new motor that way. Also, once in a while, Ford will select a vehicle right off the assembly line to do extensive testing. They give you a print out stating so. My wife's Escape was one of those. Maybe the Raptor you speak of is one of those that the factory tested... ???
