Last week my wife I hit the Trail on her Spring-break. We decided to run Powerlin-Ridge for the first time. We had just come out of a deep wash, up onto a Ridge that had a Spectacular Lake View. We went about another 1/2 mile and Ran into One of the World’s Greatest Fisherman, An OSPREY. If you have never seen one, or witnessed them fishing, you are missing out. I will see if I can find the images I captured of one fishing in Brian Head Utah. They are equipped to dive INTO AND UNDER the water! It was crazy to actually see this Crazy Bird dive under the water and come up with a trout! My other NAT GEO Osprey was several years ago in Grand Teton NP. I was shooting some images of Mama and her babies in the nest. My wife says “ Hey what’s that?” I swing my lens over and captured dad with a Fresh Rainbow in his Talons, bringing it to the nest for Fresh Trout Night in the Crib! ;) It is all about the right place, at the right time :) When this guy takes off, you can clearly see what’s left of his Fresh Bass Dinner in his Talons. I felt bad about disturbing his dinner :(
