Don’t believe this talk about oil consumption up to 10,000km. I waited that long to do anything about it and I was adding a liter of oil almost every time I filled up gas. I took my truck in around 9,000 km because I noticed it wasn’t improving. They did the valve covers covers once and and did many oil consumption tests before and after. I got up to 15,000km before they finally decided to change my engine out. The best thing I ever did was get in touch with Ford Canada, although it was my third time. I did my 1500km break in and changed the oil to pennzoil ultra platinum and it is running great with no oil issues. The motocraft oil they use can’t hold up to the heat that is made by the turbos. I also let it run for a min or so after a long drive to let the turbos and oil in the turbos to cool down and get a chance to move and not dissipate.
