All was well on our way home until we got into the fugly ice/snow event south of Rolla, MO at around 9PM last night. If you have ever been on this stretch of Hwy 44, it's hilly, minimal shoulder and 99% 18-wheelers balling along at 70-75. So WE slow to 40 due to worsening conditions...trucks in the ditch-check, rollovers off the highway-check, ballers still whizzing by- check, I am in 4-high and going up one of the many hills truck gives the WRENCH warning, tach goes to 0 and oil pressure goes to 0, truck dies. WHOLEY $h!T Sherlock!!! Trucks running up our 6, dodging us as we coast onto the shoulder. God was certainly on our side as we were bound to become a statistic. Fortunately, we got pulled over and got it restarted and decided that if it would run, we would head for the nearest exit and call a tow....never mind we would need 2 tow trucks.... Well, long story short, seemed to run better in Manual shift mode since the engine didn't seem to like a load and intermittently stalled going up hills. Road was much better and truck decided to behave around Springfield so we proceeded and arrived home. Taking truck to Ford dealer and hoping it's just the fuse (we are still under Premium Care), but DAYAM - FORD, why wasn't this recalled? No excuse. I am a loyal Ford owner and have loved the truck, have owned many, should I rethink? Will repost when fixed to confirm if this is was the issue. Pitiful.

[QUOTE="6gun, post: 1332719, member: 2587"] Yup, me too. My 2011 SCREW almost killed my wife and I last night. Seriously. So, we drove from SW Missouri home to Grand Rapids this weekend to pick up a Jeep Wrangler YJ we were storing there and pull it back home on a Uhaul car trailer.
