Then I found a deal on a ProCharger supercharger. It was used and needed to have the head unit rebuilt, but the complete kit with injectors, tune and even instructions was just $1500. I forget the gentleman's name from whom I bought it, but he was very nice and seemed like he just wanted someone to enjoy it. It turned out that the pulley had just come loose on the shaft. I bought a new pulley, bolt and key kit and was in business. This made 453 whp with no additional mods. I know these kits have a bad rep here, but I have used a D1SC on my LS1 F-body for years with great results too. I had it dyno tuned and this improved the drivability over the base Procharger tune, so I highly recommend this. Oh, also went one step colder on the spark plugs to be safe.
