Yes I spoke to roadside assistance but that's another story. This of course was on a day where my alternate vehicle was being worked on so no means of going out to get a battery and what's worse I was late for an appointment to get work done on the truck.
So this morning I woke to a notice of my Raptor going into deep sleep mode. Yes, I've read on here issues with this particular notice and it being related to a dead battery and that's pretty much the conclusion I came to as well. That being said, I wanted to share my story. Anyway, 45 minutes of troubleshooting later, I had called my local Ford dealership (where I bought the truck) and explained that my battery was dead. Not just a low charge that needed jumping, but defective (at the time only showed 6.3v on the meter). I told them the battery should be warrantied, I was told to make an appointment and bring it by...... apparently it completely went over their head that the truck was dead and couldn't be jumped. Yes I spoke to roadside assistance but that's another story. This of course was on a day where my alternate vehicle was being worked on so no means of going out to get a battery and what's worse I was late for an appointment to get work done on the truck. Long story short I got the issue resolved with the help of a good friend but all the people that SHOULD have been helping were pretty much useless and the stock battery was pretty much garbage. Sorry for the rant but I felt like venting.
