[QUOTE="Badgertits, post: 1416431, member: 31322"] Yep definitely seems like there is some sort of correlation between temp/weather/atmospheric changes & the sound, at end of the day consensus seems to be lots of F150 owners have noticed it, it can happen across the whole engine lineup, & nobody has reported any ill effects or problems as a result. I bet ALL of em make it & some people either just haven't had the opportunity to hear it, or CAN'T hear it either because of the pitch/tone of the sound, the faintness, or their own bad hearing. Like in other words, maybe on some trucks the pressure release is so minimal or the valve/hole or whatever from where its being emitted is slightly different shape or angle or whatever from truck to truck that it could be nearly inaudible or maybe instead of having multiple spread out whistles/releases you just get 1 long one & if you're not there to hear it you wouldn't know. if a tree falls in the woods & nobodys there it doesn't make a sound.
