The heat will not bother the AMSOIL MPHD, from what I have seen so far in my testing, it helps to make it better actually. As for the ideal humidity and temperature, etc. I would recommend cleaning first if you can, and in a warm environment (70* or more). When I was applying it in a climate controlled building for testing, it took just over 24 hours to cure completely at 70*. I do not have humidity numbers to go with that. As for needing to be dry, I am honestly not sure about that, I would assume that it needs to be as dry as possible, but I also doubt that a little moisture will cause it not to cure or fail in it's coverage. I will have to test whether it disperses water like their regular metal protector (which actually dries moisture soaked items like wiring, etc). The ideal environment for application in my opinion would be in a well ventilated garage/shop that is climate controlled (outside if the temps are right) at at least 70*, otherwise the curing process MAY take a little longer. I also recommend cleaning as much as you can to ensure proper coverage, but I doubt that this part is 100% necessary because the AMSOIL MPHD will cure around the dirt and the dirt will wind up caught in the cured protector until removed. (my opinion, not tested fact) Hope this helps...
