Raptor is the only 1/2 ton made to ever really come close to replicating close to true AWD + 4WD & 2WD - the transfer case utilized in our trucks is Raptor specific & some trickery w/ wet clutches allow the system to step in & send power to the fronts much much quicker & in real time vs. the traditional “4 auto” you have in regular F150s or other 1/2 tons like my Last ‘15 GMC (I believed they used magnetic locking hubs)- at any rate there was a significant delay to when slippage occurred & power went to the fronts on my GM/Toyota trucks. Also believe there’s much less concern w/ binding or additional wear running this kind of 4A system in dry conditions vs the 4A in other 1/2 tons. I also run 4A in most wet conditions or very cold ambient temp regardless of precipitation. Giving full power in 2wd in these trucks even in stock form your spinning in motion more than you realize - simultaneously hurting acceleration & tire wear. So a big reason I run in 4A is to prevent uneven tire wear when I’m getting on it in dry conditions + actually be able to use all the power. combo of fat soft wide tires + soft as puppy poo suspension + boatload of TQ very low = recipe for spinning w/o even noticing
