We had Marvin cut back the firewall on my rig. Huge difference! We now have the clearance needed to run hard and not end up the the tire rubbing. You will also need to beef up the LCA mounts at the frame as they will bend on you and allow the tire to shift farther back. We added material and gusseted them.

Stock rear axle housing will not handle 39s, nor will anything inside of it.

When I added 37's there was a loss of power due to many factors, larger tires equal more weight, rotational mass yada yada. My RWH and Torque also diminished, as a result I had my motor built ( didn't need an excuse ) are any of the rigs running 39's still have stock motors? Would love to know the impact on power.
I remember on the LPR's last run, it seemed that it could not get out of its own way.
