Following as well. I really like how the truck rides stock, and would not want to lift it at all. However, if I can get better ride quality over sharp bumps/road imperfections at stock height I'm all about it.

This is the way to go. The Shelby may have better resale value, that's about it. I find them a bit garish, but it's all taste.

The OP picked up a 5.4. I agree I'd look for a 6.2, but let's be real the 5.4 is not really a slouch. It's adequate power if that's all that one can afford.

I guess whatever happened has already happened. Hopefully you got it out. If the engine restarted and ran fine, I would start with electrical issues like others have said (Fuse 27, etc.). Of course, this advice is a little late. If you end up back on here, please update.
