Gen 2 around town I'm averaging 14.6-15.4 mpg, when I get more highway miles in on the tank, I'm closer to 16.7-17.4 mpg depending upon how heavy I'm getting into the gas pedal. This is on 93 octane. I also haven't taken many longer road trips - majority of driving is around town/up the highway...
Welcome and congrats on the truck! Love the leadfoot - coming from a normal F-150 prior to my Raptor, I don't think I'd want to own anything other than the Raptor moving forward truck-wise. Enjoy it!
I'm a fan of all of the gens and think each has something special to offer. The gen 1 with it's v8, the gen 2 I think is hands down the best-looking of the 3, and the gen 3's rear suspension is a good upgrade and the interior is far nicer than the previous 2. Love my gen 2, but wouldn't hesitate...
Congrats on the new truck, and welcome! You made the right choice - as a previous F-150 and current Raptor owner, I find that I enjoy the Raptor far more.
While I can understand the appeal of the 392, I don't think I'd ever consider a Durango in the same list as the Raptor - but that's just personal preference.
I was in a similar situation recently, but was looking at something that would be more practical than the GT500 (F90 M5). I have a 2.5 year old and an 8 month old and even with the sedan, with 2 seats in the back, it would be tight. Ultimately went with the Raptor with the plans of picking up a...
Yeah, would be nice to see them actually enforce this. Most dealers out here are adding on at least $10-1$2k ADM on the gen 3 - with some as egregiously high as $40k.
Can't speak to the difference in MPG/performance between the octane levels as I've only run 93 in the Raptor. Just do it out of habit since it's what I've done for any of the turbo'd vehicles I've owned previously as well.
Welcome and congrats! Love the antimatter - truck looks great! Would love to see what the M5 looks like as well - have been contemplating one myself for a bit.
Thanks or the write up - definitely good to see how they all compare! Need to figure out the setup I'm going to run on mine. Also, nice Madone - I've got one myself along with a custom Giant Trance that I built from the frame up and love them both.
Welcome and beautiful truck! Definitely enjoy it - I was in the same situation, wanted the Raptor ever since they came out and finally got my hands on a 2019 last month!
I'm in NJ - if I see you around, I'll be sure to wave haha. I've gotten one wave so far, but it's also been the only Raptor I've come across in the month of owning mine so far. Plan to keep waving - so we'll see how much success I have moving forward.
Welcome and great looking Gen 1! Ultimately, it's your decision, but if it were my truck, I'd remove the bedside graphics - especially if you're into more of a low-key look. Enjoy the truck once you have keys in hand though and if you decide to keep the graphics, still looks good!
Went out for a nice drive and have been researching exhausts for my 2019. Really like the sound of this combination of AMS Turbo Adapters, aFE equal length downpipes, and a MBRP X-pipe or this custom exhaust from a shop out in the UAE. Both sound more similar to the gen 3, which I like the tone of.
