Didn’t see this. Zurich Shield is complete shit. It’s a spray on Sealant that doesn’t even last a few...
Good evening!
I do not have any experience with IGL coatings. I tried to view their site but it doesn't load. In the winter coatings just have to be applied in a temperature stable environment. There are different blends of a coating a lot of the time based on the application temperature...
I am not. I just looked it up and I would probably not put that on a truck. The stuff is more for the industrial setting. It did say it could be used on wheels but I would imagine if you have any issues with it that need fixed it's probably a huge pain in the ass to fix.
That is very odd. Does the water still immediately run off the paint like it did when you first had the coating applied? The paint felt a bit different on my Charger after being coated for a year and a half but it was still incredibly slick. And Reload should last longer than that. What...
You might look into a spray Sealant. Something like Car Pro's Reload that I use daily or Adam's has a quality Sealant. Adams's is also a supporting vendor. Most sealants will last longer than wax, make the paint, glass, wheels and trim easier to wash and it doesn't take nearly as long to apply...
It depends. The longer the warranty the more coats you're usually paying for. I'll probably start putting a warranty on my coating jobs when I can properly educate people on the proper wash techniques and the dos and don'ts.
It's weird. Some brands will stack layers to get the hard protection but then also have a layer that is supposed to get you that freshly waxed look and sometimes they are will have three different formulas stacked on top of eachother that all provide different benefits. Just really depends on...
Most detailers won't do 1 coat. And only a few brands of coating are added in 4+ layers. 2 is pretty much the standard for the industry for the time being.
It kinda depends on their "full package". Everyone has a different package for their premium package. For full correction, coating on the wheels, brakes and paint as well as a full interior and exterior detail $1,500-$2k is pretty average in SoCal. I was charging $1,450 for everything unless the...
If you watch any kind of off-roading videos with the "professionals" they will always take the time layer the cable evenly back on the drum. It keeps the pressure even on the drum, is better for the cable and It looks a lot better. Not to mention the fact that if you just let the cable do...
No it's NOT normal. Dealers aren't known for using the best products and techniques when they "detail". You would be even more surprised how much damage is done before the truck even leaves the factory. The b pillars can be polished and I would definitely recommend PPF on them afterwards as the...
I haven't looked at how the oil is changed on the 17'+ but my 14' was the simplest vehicle to do an oil change on that I have ever owned. I always removed the skid plate completely since it was only 2 more bolts than the little inspection cover and the little funnel they built under the oil...
I use Chemical Guys' Maxi Suds and I have never had an issue! Works great when you use 1oz per gallon of water and it also works great in a foam gun as that's what it was originally designed for. Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II - 128 oz | Free Shipping Available - Detailed Image
A forum sponsor hinted at a V8 conversion in the works. And realistically a crate 5.0L with a supercharger wouldn't be all that expensive and they could probably even set up some sort of trade in program for the ecoboost. The ecoboost would kick some ass in a buggy with engine size limit...
