I used it this past Friday and I didn't notice any unusual noises/sounds. I don't know the grade percentage, but it was moderate to steep while towing about 2500 lbs of trailer/load.

ROFL. What he said. Disregarding any sexual innuendo, insert the nozzle completely then back it out about a half-inch. You're simply aligning the nozzle to the angle of the filler neck.

Simple fact is...it's a fantastic truck. Super Crew or Super Cab, I think it's impossible to be disappointed with either one.
