Highly recommend SPD downpipes. @Johnny@Apollo-Optics hooked me up with a set, and helped me with install questions. Sounds great, gets spicy in Baja mode.

The downpipes will definitely help with that. It get spicy in Baja exhaust mode

No tune requirement to run them, but you won’t get much or any performance increases.

From time to time I miss the JD threads. They were always very entertaining reads.

I’m in NY so I have no input on Cali smog rules. But I had my previous truck cut above the rear axle and had no issues with NY inspection. The only issue I could think of with cutting right above the axle with turndowns is all the exhaust gases getting shot right onto the axle & differential...

Exhaust pipes will be less likely to take a hit. They’re tucked up higher, and the departure angle increases. Especially once the rear bumper gets changed.

We’ll have to get a rear bumper install thread going.

@MajorAR made be do some chopping. Summit Racing came in clutch with fast shipping on the clamps & turndowns.

I’m leaning towards the RPG rear as well! Might ask you for some pics when you get it installed.

The turn down clamps look great. Which rear bumper setup are you going with?

Getting the ACC to work properly is all about installation. Should have it on the lower portion of the drivers side of the grille. Not the best picture, but you can see mine mounted underneath the “R” in the grille. ACC works like it did in the stock location.

Initial impressions on the AO Performance tune. Currently running 35s, 91octane, and my truck is modified with Cobb intake, SPD downpipes, and SVC intercooler. From a stop you can easily spin the tires giving it some throttle. Shifts are crisp and you can feel it put you into your seat much...

Happy to report, I passed NY state inspection today with my SPD downpipes installed.

My SVC bumper changes the position of them, and they function the same as stock.

Interested in this as well. Would love some more feedback from people running this.
