You should stick with Toyota if a fluid leak bothers you.
God forbid you buy a truck that has capabilities Toyota can’t even spell and then have it drip fluid.
Toyota had you in mind when they designed all of their appliances.., I mean vehicles
Where the 19 had the “ honeycomb “ like inserts this one has black velour/corduroy like material. I am afraid it may not wear as well or clean up as easy. Just a hunch.
801A and power tech.
801A & Power Tech. This my third Raptor and I wasn’t going to pay for anything I wouldn’t use.
Just took my wife for a ride and discovered that in Sport Mode it rev matches on down shifts and Baja exhaust mode sounds ridiculous in the cab. Anyone who complains about the V6 sound on gen 3 has...
Just picked up my 2021 Velocity Blue Raptor from the dealer. 20 miles driven and so far love most everything about it. Ride, handling, sound, trans tuning all noticeable improvements. The exhaust modes are really easy to access and are a blast. I liked my 2019 seat covers better and I don't like...
The Raptor R 7.3 will have air to water in the plenum and water to air in the grill. The result is predictable air temps and favorable fuel air ratios.
Air to air is cheap but less efficient. Water has 13 times more energy transfer capacity than air.
Reality is the difference between 35” and 37” tires is mostly between your ears. If anyone thinks $7500 is justified to give up suspension travel for sidewall flex then have at it. I am happy you have that choice.
A race team would sell their soul for an extra inch of travel. Your money your...
I have read research indicating as much as 80% of engine wear occurs at cold start up due to lack of lubrication.
Many of the people I race with pressurize the oiling system before starting.
Idling with the trans in park is the best choice in my opinion as compared to frequent start ups.
July 21. I was the only occupant. On the freeway I was hit in the rear corner of the cab, passenger side, an was sent into a flat spin. After a 180 it hit the shoulder, slid into the grass, the tires dug in and it began rolling down the hill into the ditch. I walked out where the sunroof used...
The end of my baby
I drag race with a bunch of friends. One of them has a 7.3 with a whipple making about 1400hp/1300lbft. I have a connection deep within the Raptor R development. I have personally seen a few Raptor R mules in person. Near where I live they drive a local hwy as part of their...
Totaled my 2019 Raptor last Wednesday. Got a check from my insurance 1 hour ago. Called my dealer last Thursday and they have two in the pipeline. One was still available to be modified with a build week of 9/27. Put my order in, Velocity Blue, 801A and Power Pac, and today they sent me a VIN...
It is in fact going to have a SC 7.3. It has made over 1000 ft/lbs in testing and is being de tuned for durability.
It is smaller, lighter and a more robust platform for truck use.
The 2023 Raptor R will have a 7.3 with blower making well over 700hp. It will be lighter than the TRX so it will not even be a contest. I am taking bets.
It is a 7.3 with a blower. I have posted before but nobody pays attention. I will enjoy all of the comments, but, will enjoy it even more when you all find out I am correct. If you really want to know something, and are willing to do the work, the information is available. :-)
Are there any members here from my area that would offer to modify my truck using Forscan for a fee? There are only a few things I would like to change and I don't think the purchase of my own Forscan software makes sense? Any input welcome. Thanks in advance.
The 2023 Raptor will have a SC 7.3 Godzilla. It will outperform the TRX in every measure as it will retain our current weight advantage and enjoy a CI advantage. Ford designed Godzilla specifically for truck use and this was part of the plan. TRX is a short lived one trick pony.
2019 Velocity Blue, 802A, roof, step and some other stuff I don’t remember
My 2018 had a Livernois tune, not sure what this one will get.
