The pro-power on board thing is a game changer to me. The looks are growing on me too but I have no reason to switch as I still love everything about my current truck.
I have an 800a with zero regrets. I came from a jeep without a backup camera so this thing is luxury to me haha. Cloth seats dont get hot so no need for cooled seats, and I prefer a physical key over a button. Dont have to worry about the sunroof issues. Mine does have the bigger screen thats...
Not to add more to your confusion but Icon makes a leaf kit that you can add more to or take away from for your needs. That way you dont have to buy deavers and hope. But I would just call deaver and they will tell you what to get
I ended up putting my roof top tent on a trailer so I could keep camp setup while I offroad. But I have the traditional RTT that takes more than a few minutes so setup. Those hardshell tents look awesome!
Did you end up getting it? Looks like it should work fine and Ive always had good experiences with procharger stuff. You wont be able to do a winch with this one but if thats not in the plans it shouldnt matter.
Smittybilt is cheapest(thats what I have), tuff stuff is in the middle, CVT, ikamper are on the top end. Tons of companies out there though.
Also Alucab and go fast campers if you want an integrated tent and truck bed thingy.
I paid around 1250 for my tent, but some of the others are upwards...
Did you get blasted with the dust storm on that Friday the 12th too? I was in the State park for that. Sleeping in a tent + 50mph winds is not fun haha.
Did 5 campsites in 8 days and over 1600 miles in big bend state and national park. Went with another family so we had 4 adults and 3 kids under 5. Did black gap road and some other off-road stuff. Was an amazing trip.
