Couple things that have ended up working out, the fuel cell pushed the sway bar forward and means it now has to mount off the links and it’s travel...
Pulled the front shocks today to get them up for sale. In case anyone doesn’t quite understand how big a 4.5 shock is….this is a 2.5x10 2 tube bypass next to the 4.5x14 5 tube that will take its place.
Alright so cutting off the old upper link mounts was a pain in the butt. Kudos to ID designs that was one beefy mount.

Messed with the doubler plates a little. Figured hit them while they are flat vs after on the axle. Got a little off but I’m blame that on the late night cocktails….
Upper link mount parts came in today from laser. I’ve been using the crap out of sendcutsend and if anyone wants help with that process I’m happy to assist.
I’ll have to adjust the bottom curve to perfectly match the housing shaping but not bad to start out.

Now that I’m actually working on it again I will do my best to document each component I have to work through and the reasoning I find behind the solutions.
Things I’ve run into so far, the upper link mounts on the ID Designs axle are smaller than the rod end I have so drew up new mounts and sent to laser.
Will have to rebuild shock towers and move bypass location up 6” to fit the 4.5 kings.

Well, im starting over. rear axle upgrade, front suspension upgrades, race hubs, new wheels, oh and... all new fiberglass. current one piece, tilt, bumper, headlights, and grille will all be coming off and for sale to make room for the new hotness!
looks like the hood bolts might be a little loose, and then if you opened the hood they would bind. This happens on Gen2 as well. the corner of the hood when not aligned correct binds with that exact part of the fender. Have had to fox this before
