Is premium gas worth the cost?
Although states may have different regulations regarding what octane rating constitutes premium, it typically starts at about 91.
Some luxury brands, such as BMW and Mercedes, have high-compression engines and require the use of premium gas to prevent the engine...
It could be an overfill or pressure sensor in the tank. I had a similar issue with my last vehicle. When the tank was full it would have trouble starting and the engine would cut out while driving on occasion.
Go with the 2019 or 2020. It looks like Ford is introducing a new suspension for 2021, which can be a potential source for new issues. Turbos, electrical systems, and transmission all seem to be pretty well sorted out in 2019. I've heard no odd noises and have not had any issues with the...
Drove a Chrysler 300SRT before buying the Raptor. Measured the impact height and checked it against the 300. Deer would've been in my lap.
$9,500 damage...to start. I drop it off at the shop on 11/11. 100% covered by insurance.
Raptor vs. Deer!!
Cruising along on RT141 in the upper peninsula of Michigan at 10:30 AM. Just me and my dog on our way up to the lake so I can walk the renovation project we have going on at the cabin. About 2 hours from my place a 180-pound doe decides it wants to challenge the front bumper...
I really do like the TT-V6, there just seems to be a stigma around it. Weight distribution is better with the V6, HP (almost as good) and torque (better) than in my former 300SRT. It trumps the 5.0 that Ford offers. For off-road you really can't beat it, especially if you want to catch some air.
I've been reading many of the threads and dozens of articles about the Gen2 Raptor and its TT-V6. Honestly, it took me nearly 18 months to pull the trigger on the Gen2 because of the V6. I have to say that after 1,500 miles in the three weeks I've owned it, I don't really have any problem with...
Personally, a 10-speed transmission is entirely unnecessary. The skip shift occurs because the intermediate gears are unnecessary for most acceleration and braking situations. 5 or 6-speed is really all that is needed for most driving situations that we encounter. The 10-speed is a gimmick...
Only had mine for 10 days, but have had no issues with shifting. Some vehicles that have the 8+ speed automatics can have issues deciding which gear they want to be in, but that usually occurs if you are tentative with the throttle. I do not have that issue in this truck. The only thing I have...
Naper-thrill! Not too far. My kid goes to Wheaton Academy in West Chicago. Used to play a ton of golf at St. Andrews a lifetime ago.
