$2800!? Wow! I don’t live in the USA anymore, so maybe I’m outdated on prices. I did this job once and I think it took like 4 hours. And we just had floor jacks. Pretty easy job. Wish I could make $2800 that easy.
Government and policies change with administrations. Right now, sure it looks like V8’s won’t be around for long. But I bet that’s not going to be the case…. Still think the EV revolution is far off.
However, oil is a limited resource and who knows how long it will last. So, it’s certainly...
7 minutes charging time for 60 mile range. And that’s supposed to be good? That doesn’t include the time to get in and out of your car, go to restroom, buy a soda, check air pressure etc. That basically means if you have 4 cars ahead of you, you have to wait almost an hour to begin to charge...
The tech is cool but it does look hideous to me. And there are so many gimmicks that’ll fail on that truck. For example, you need to use the touch screen to change the direction of air flow from the vents. Just imagine how worn out that touch screen will be after 10 years of use. And of course...
The Lightning and even the Rivian are great concepts. It would be great to see them succeed. But just imagine everyone buys them and the use of electricity skyrockets and the power grids keep failing and battery production halts due to limited lithium etc etc. I don’t know, I think we’re far...
Oh I’m pretty sure we’ll see this EV push prematurely materialize in one way or another much sooner than 30 years, but what I’m saying is that it won’t work….and we’ll return/remain using combustion engines. The whole charging/battery/power grid infrastructure is still in its infancy.
Combustion engines are here to stay for a long time. Just because EV’s are being pushed hard at the moment doesn’t mean they’ll work in reality. So much still needs to be accomplished before EV’s become standard. My guess is at least 30 years, more likely 50. And a lot can change during 30...
1. Vote republican so we have a border.
2. Keep your cats, removing them doesn’t add performance and your truck exhaust smells much better with them installed. Install camera and motion detector lights like MTF suggested. Park in safe locations etc.
Doesn’t matter if Ford ends up selling a lemon. Doesn’t mean anyone should morally corrupt themselves and sell it to some unsuspecting buyer. This guy did exactly what he should have done.
You certainly assume a lot and are quick to deal out the blame.
You assume the rattling is the IWE system
You assume the engine noise is the phaser
You assume it’s his own fault for installing the phoenix system
You assume the buyer didn’t give the dealership every opportunity to fix the...
“Uneducated, caveman logic, ignorant, Walmart employee.” Seems to me you think of people based on their class status. Again, definitely a democrat. (Be careful of all those unvaccinated people out there)
I assume you don’t get much respect at home, so I understand you being a **** here.
So...
You make friends everywhere, don’t ya.
Just enjoy your perfectly engineered Ecoboost. And if/when it blows there are always helpful guys with their naturally aspirated V8’s who’ll happily tow you to the mechanic.
Anyway, I’m perplexed as to why you even drive a raptor. You seem like a hybrid...
Dude, seriously, lay off the soy and chill out. You’re the one making a fool of himself by not accepting well-known simple facts.
Do yourself a favor and walk into any Ford dealership and ask each mechanic whether a naturally aspirated, large displacement gasoline motor or a turbo charged...
Misinformation? Conspiracy theories? And you don’t know the value of real world experience vs third party “data”? You are a democrat!
Anyway, it sounds to me like you’re trying to convince yourself. Your argument that it was engineered that way and therefore must be reliable is pretty funny...
You argue like a democrat quoting MSNBC. Some of us rely on real world experience, not data from companies with alternative motives. Any good mechanic knows the 6.2 is far more reliable. Any small turbo charged GDI engine pushing a heavy vehicle around won’t last as long as large displacement...
I built a contraption out of 2x2 square steel tubes that connects to the trailer hitch and has a support to carry long items. Works great. I’ll build a ladder rack soon which will be even more handy.
It might be unrelated, but i was having an issue shifting in and out of 4lo and removing the 5star tune and returning to the stock tune solved the problem. If you’re on any aftermarket tune, try going back to stock and see if that helps.
