I just recently did this but kept the grey wire in and added the jumper with the grey wire and 1 slot wire. I didn't have to disconnect the green box plug either and literally took about 5 minuets. I shouldn't have any problems electrical wise i wouldn't think?

If anyone is curious i ended up figuring it all out. I reinstalled the Fordpass app and now get push notifications to my phone when my alarm goes off. I think when the dealer set my app up he did not allow all permissions needed.. Also my proximity sensors worked fine today in day light setting...
