I think there's a sticky on how to do it. But yes, there are bolts and clips that hold the lower grill in. You would probably have to remove bolts, then cut. I think the cut edge will be visible after light is installed as the bracket (And light bar) sit back a ways.

I thought it was strange too, but when hunting I run an cb antenna cable out through slider, and remote start wouldn't work (Just got horn honk). As soon as I pulled cable into cab and closed slider all the way, boom, remote start works again. ?

Also, make sure your back slider window is closed all the way. My remote start will not work if slider is open at all.
