New OEM Gen 1 Fox rears- N2 check?

116K on Rapunzel :) I have all the parts / tools per the FRF thread to rebuild my shocks. I'm "practicing" on the rears before I tackle the fronts, but I have no doubt the fronts are next to go- they just haven't yet. Thanks for your input; I appreciate it.

New OEM Gen 1 Fox rears- N2 check?

They seem to be fine- nothing like the rears were. It was an exercise in sphincter discipline driving over fast rip-rap / whoops with the rears like they were.

    ZAK Oil Additive

I'm familiar with several engineers in the lubricant business, endurance racing, etc. All of them will tell you modern engines using synthetic oil 1) Do not require additives and 2) Additives can actually change the chemistry of the oil, making it LESS effective.

WTB: Hard Tonneau cover 2011 SC

Hardtop Folding preferred, but will consider one piece in excellent shape. I saw Yukon Joe's, but the shipping from NY would make the price unaffordable.

I have one with LightForce HIDs. I'm in AL. I offered it to my coworker for $400, including the lights.

New OEM Gen 1 Fox rears- N2 check?

So I didn't check the pressure as-delivered, installed them and went. Wow. What a difference $700 makes. It's no longer scary; it's just simply planted over the rough stuff (relatively speaking).

New OEM Gen 1 Fox rears- N2 check?

I'm replacing my rear shocks on my Raptor with OEM FOX purchased from Rock Auto- Should I take them to a bike shop and have the N2 pressures checked (200 psi, iirc)? If yes, then I would have to build/buy a needle valve assy with a guage, no? Thanks for the help!

    AT Flushing

Good stuff, for sure- Thanks. My intent of the post was to share one AT professional technician's experience and view of the routine "flush", rather than the filter/fluid change.

    AT Flushing

Hello Everyone! I grew up as a gearhead, building race engines for my street cars. A close friend of mine has made a very good living as a transmission builder- manual to automatic: Allison, nasty PowerGlides, Muncies and Toploaders. He's built every transmission I've used for the last 36...

    GEN 1 Rear End Hop

My 2011 does this. I'm thinking it's shocks (original 116k). Because most have no idea what Deavers are, I'm going to hope I'm not going to be forced to buy springs after rebuilding the shocks. I can see this truck becoming like a black gun.

Shall it pass?New Kenworth T680 Predictive Cruise Control.

They already do that with freight trains (and more). It uses both VHF and cell to function. I was wondering how long it would take the rest of the transportation industry to adopt a variation of it.

Thank you. Our house burned June 28th, so no access to water for clean up :) I'll post pics asap. This is my first full-size truck- I'm in love. (my other truck is a 1990 Ranger 2.3 with ~35lbs of boost).

    New owner in AL

Hello everyone- proud owner of a 2011 Raptor with a Whipple / intercooler, stainless headers etc that I know little about, other than it being a one owner bought in Cleveland, AL. The guy spent a lot of money on this truck. I've got some reading to do. Great forum.
