    Better low-midrange response w/o supercharging?

I'm not looking to improve MPG. I just want better power delivery/responsiveness . I only mentioned the gas mileage because I'm sure gears would kill it.

    Better low-midrange response w/o supercharging?

Awesome! Thanks for the info. Any idea exactly how much a set of 4.56s would effect the mpg? I haven't been able to get any real numbers from anyone so far.

    Better low-midrange response w/o supercharging?

I'll try a tuner then. EricM - do you have long tubes on your truck? Noticeable low end power?

    Better low-midrange response w/o supercharging?

What can be done to make this truck more responsive below 3k RPM? It has power up top, but for a 6.2 it seems like it needs to be screaming more than it should to get going in a hurry. What mods would make it snappier on the low end? Tuner maybe? Supercharger is not in the budget, and...

    Fording Water

Thanks guys. I don't think it's going to get anywhere near the intake where I would need to go. But good to know.

    How smooth is your idle?

Bump. Just bought this this truck, and it has a slightly rough idle. I've confirmed that the plugs were done by the dealer at 100k. Haven't actually looked at them yet. Idle is at 650ish, roughness doesn't go away until 1000RPM or so.

    Fording Water

Hopefully this damn street won't flood again this year anyway. I don't plan on dunking it. Just want to know when I need to stop and back up to avoid flooding the carpet. I appreciate the input. Agreed. That goes for any vehicle, IMO I will add hoses to the vents if there aren't hoses there...

    Fording Water

Thanks. And is that the actual limit, or the official Ford's Lawyers limit? My truck is also mid-perched. Does that get me another couple of inches?

    Fording Water

I did a quickie search and didn't find anything, but please excuse me if I missed a thread somewhere. How deep can these trucks go before they start incurring water? I'm not too concerned about drowning the engine, as I don't plan on getting anywhere near that deep, but when my street...
