    Power gains

I picked up two MPGs going with the stainless works long tubes. I think it was their “stainless power” line. Now I’m about at 13mpg. If I were to do it again I would skip the cold air intake.

    Starting issues

Check your vapor canister purge valve. My 2012 had starting issues after filling up, didn’t throw any codes. Swapped it out and the problem was gone. It’s like a $25-50 part, took only a few minutes to do.

    GEN 1 Common bolts used

For my truck I had a lot of the interior switches need replacing. Door lock switch, turn signal and the steering wheel buttons, also the fuel evap canister. Granted, I got my 2012 very used when it had over 113,000 miles on it and I am close to 170,000.

    Oil filter close out

I usually use the Mobil 1. I think I’ve used at least one K&N over the years.

    Oil filter close out

They also have quite a few interior switches on closing as well.

    Oil filter close out

Just a heads up, rock auto has oil filters for the 6.2 on close out. Might be a good time to stock up. I got a half dozen K&N for less than $2 each

The Blackwell TRR was good. I went year before last, plenty of good terrain and lots of good people.

What am I missing on my front end rebuild?

While everything is out, it might be a good time to get your lower spark plugs. It was pretty easy to get to with just a couple extensions and swivel adapters. Might put in new wires for the plugs too. Might do your brakes too

    Pay It Forward Thread

I did my CVs not too long ago. Also did upper control arms and swapped to rebuilt shocks at the same time. Also the spark plugs weren’t too bad with everything out of the way. I also need to do my inner and outer control rods too. Trying to decide if it’s worth the extra cash to do like the...

6.2L spark plug change - tips and tricks

So I actually didn’t get a chance to change the the plugs and coils out before the TRR. I did get a tube from 5 star, while I was there. It seemed to smooth things out. I have long tubes, cat back and an intake.

    Like my truck

I’ve had my 2012 for about five years or so. I love it, but I think my 2 year old son loves it more. He’s always talking about “daddy’s truck” and if I hit the gas, I hear “more more more” coming from the car seat.

So a set of MSD coils should be arriving today. Might as well do it all at once.

6.2L spark plug change - tips and tricks

It’s mostly been a daily, though I am taking it to the texas raptor run. It had also developed a slightly rough idle.

Or should I plan on changing the coil boots?

6.2L spark plug change - tips and tricks

One more question about the coil packs, I have a 2012, with 160k and no service history when I got it at 113k. I replaced the lower plugs and wires when redoing the CV axles and suspension, should I also spring for the coils as well, or just replace the boots? I am assuming the coils are original.

    Bummer

A little bit with a sledge to get the rear bumper close to in shape and I am now part of the group that uses zip ties for body work.

    Bummer

Looks like fairly minor bending to the hitch, mostly the sheet metal that was welded on top.
