Yeah, it pretty much took the shop that long to install it. But he also had a 1/2" drive, I don't and the parts store wanted $30 for it, and he had another mechanic help wrap it around the supercharger as it's a tight fit. It cost me an extra $10, no big deal. And the belt is still there on rock...
Already have the 6PK3177 belt. Certainly didn't pay $77 for a $33 belt. Looking into the 75mm pulley now, but again, certainly not $215 for a $99 pulley. :hahano:
PS. That belt from amazon never shipped. Stumbled on the Dayco 5061251 which is similar or the same as the Gates everyone uses. Rockauto is blowing them out at $17 + shipping. Side note: The $5 shipping option is BS, don't ever use the "smartmail" option as it takes the full 7-9 days for...
This thread says to F the overpriced Roush belt, especially since it's got a bad rep for splitting https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/roush-serpentine-belt.35483/ I'm more concerned with the correct size and that's the only 126" that popped up.
Picked up this beast and already split the belt.
Roush wants $100 for the belt, it's 3200mm or 126". Forum says to use the 125" Gates, but my S/C pulley measures 80mm not 75mm so that would be too tight of a fit. Nobody uses metric, so I've been searching for a 126" length and this is the...
If you're about to take delivery, how do you not have a buyers order?

Actually, why does PenFed need an invoice? When I got a loan from them, they didn't need anything from me, other than having the dealer to...
LOL! I saw that too. Surprised he didn't confirm the actual mileage on it, even if it is a showroom car. If it has 50 miles, you know it was taken for a joy ride. Or two.
They prob know he has a following and he said he got a really good deal on it, so likely the dealer will do a better job fixing it, and could put it back on the lot and sell it for more. So it's pretty simple for the dealer; take it back by avoiding bad publicity (could go viral) and maybe even...
I dunno. I was all about the V8, had a SRT8 for years, a CTSV, a Vette, even a SRT10. But this Twin Turbo EcoBoost is addictive, not up to the level of supercharger, but pretty close. And once a tune is released, it's gonna be a monster.
I must saying, looking at the stock photos and dealer pics, it didn't see what all the buzz was about as it looked like a typical magnetic gray. But with the lighting, you really got it to pop and you even have me considering one.
PS. It looks like you have a hostage in the bed.
+1 That surprised me too that they've remained roughly the same for a year, only taking a minor hit with the Gen2 and nothing with the 2018s coming out, so when I found mine I had to jump on it. But I'm sure a dealer is probably marking them up and willing to deal since a customer approved/with...
I was talking to a dealer about something similar with all the added bs options the dealer ordered. Was a real deal killer. They tried to feed me some bs to justify it.
Not likely the GM would know about it as they usually delegate and aren't aware of the day to day operations. The sales or fleet manager would, whomever at that dealer accepts delivery and maybe the service manager when the PDI is done. But not unlikely a porter messed up and had his "buddy" in...
