DIY Fiberglass Enclosure Using Sony Sub Location?

I was thinking about reusing the existing plastic enclosure, but had some scrap material laying around and made a box out of 0.5" MDF with fiberglass to reinforce the inside. Carpet material was left over from another project and would have liked it to be black. I may change it out later...

GEN 1 Headlight Switch w/ Fog Pullout Install

Thinking about this more ... the only unknown is the switch. Is it at all possible that the ground on the switch is not the same ground as chassis? I was thinking I could test this theory out by connecting the fog light ground leads to this lead thereby completing the circuit, but the wire I...

GEN 1 Headlight Switch w/ Fog Pullout Install

Yeah when the switch is pulled out, the line gets battery voltage which is strange since it won't turn on the LEDs. I'm wondering if the LEDs need 12V ... with the vehicle off and the headlights on battery voltage dips below 12V. ---------- Post added at 09:20 PM ---------- Previous post was...

GEN 1 Headlight Switch w/ Fog Pullout Install

Did you figure this out? I'm getting a similar behavior on my 2014. The LED on the headlight switch operates as expected and I can hear the relay switch on /off however I do not get power to the Fogs. I can power them on separately and they work. I thought the relay was bad, but after...

    wiring connectors

You can use a standard 2 pin automotive connector (Delphi or similar brand) and jumper the power wire across both contacts. You will have to "double crimp" one contact and use a small jumper wire. Or if you want, you can use a multi splice to hardwire your lights to a single power conductor.

    Headrest Hook

I can round the sides, but that makes it a little more difficult to print with some printers. I can definitely add it though if you want.

    Headrest Hook

I couldn't find anything that held my hats in place so I created a quick sketch. Thought someone else might be interested in something like this.

DIY Fiberglass Enclosure Using Sony Sub Location?

I searched around and I see lots of custom boxes that take up a majority of the area underneath the rear seats. Has anyone every thought about making a custom enclosure out of the Sony box? Closest I could find in my search was this...

    Hi from SoCal!

My research into a new 2017 Raptor resulted in finding a dealer in California that would actually sell at MSRP, however they have no more allocations. They might get some later, but no guarantees. Information might be useful for someone still looking or perhaps wanting to order a future 2018...

    Discouraged?

I did find a dealer in SoCal willing to sell at sticker, but they don't have any 2017 Raptors on the lot. Contact Jerry Miller at Penske Ford in La Mesa. I'm actually going to see a nice Gen 1 tomorrow. Wish me luck!

    Discouraged?

I've probably contacted 100 sales reps at various dealers around the United States with lack luster results to purchase a 2017 Raptor at MSRP. That started me down the road of looking at 2017 Lariats or a G1 Raptor. If I really think about these trucks, I do really like the twin panel roof and...

    raptor dealers to avoid

I got in contact with Juan Jimenez and he told me that Power Ford still charges a premium. He said he would get back to me. If he comes back too high, I'll see if I can contact Tyler. Thanks for the tip!

Not sure if this thread is still useful to some but I just struck out at (all in Los Angeles): Norm Reeves Ford SuperStore (Cerritos) Ford of Montebello Sunrise Ford (North Hollywood) Ken Grody (Orange)

    Hi from SoCal!

My name is Nick and I'm from Los Angeles (South Bay). I've always liked the Raptor, but thought I could modify my Rubicon to give me similar performance. After coilovers, 37s, re-gear, RIPP, etc ... I'm still left a little wanting. The Rubicon is definitely very capable, but there's just...
